A week of rain, disappointment, and Christ

So it has been a while for a weekly email but i will let you know what has happened here on the border. So to start of, i will just tell you it was cold, and when i mean cold for Brazil! I wore coats and sweater this week to keep me warm. i know that sounds crazy and it does but Ponta Purã is its own world! so besides the cold we got rejected a lot and it as sad. We had a bunch of people with baptism dates and most of them fell through because the people don't want this anymore. so i will give a big thanks to Satan. But on the high note, we have confirmed baptisms for the next 2 weeks before the transfer ends. so that is a plus.
Yesterday was Sunday and church was just fantastic! i cried during one of the talks because he talked about the Savior. Its was really powerful. so speaking of church we had 3 random people come to church yesterday because they wanted to see what we do. so they came and we then taught them after church to get to know them better. I know the Lord sent them to church for us. After church we went to a really special members house for Easter Lunch and it was amazing. We had a huge meal and got 2 Easter Baskets too!! they are truly an amazing family. we also played Uno and talked about life. I am grateful for the week we had with the good and the bad that happened.
To end this email for the week i would like to bare my testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know he lives! He came to this earth to fulfill the plan of out father. He suffered the pains of the world, something we can never comprehend, and paid the price on the cross for ALL. Then on the 3rd day he Arose. He completed his mission here on earth and conquered death. He is resurrected. He lives and is the King of Kings. He is the Savior of mankind and he is the Christ. I love you and know that we have a purpose here in this life. Remember the Savior at all times and he will always remember you!

What a Week!

SO this week was not to eventful but i will let you know all that happened.
First of all, I have not slept this week due to the concert playing till 2 in the morning this whole week! But it is done and i hope i can sleep a little better then before. We did a lot of teaching this week was was good because we kept busy. we taught our investigators and visited the members. we celebrated a a birthday with a huge BBQ and it was Amazing! We had interviews with our mission President and he is truly called of God. He knows us personally and loves us like his own children.

So that is about it. Exciting right. I am grateful for the support like always and the prayers. I will have more to write next week but just wanted to say hello. May God bless each of you and until next time.

Brazil or Paraguay??

SO this week has been an adventure. I will start from the beginning of the week because it was an eventful week!
Monday i packed all my thing and and just chilled with the members that i will miss.
Tuesday i headed off to the bus station and started my journey to PONTA PURÃ. I traveled for 28 hours on a bus, we made a few stops along the way, and it was painful.  The good thing is that i traveled with 2 other missionaries. When i arrived in Ponta Purã i was welcomed to 70 degree weather with a slight breeze!! I think i will enjoy it here. It is a totally different world here, in a good way. Its like i am at home. It is really Americanized King, Pizza Hut and Bobs Burgers. It will be a good time here. The city is big and has 12 missionaries here. i live with 2 other elders and it is fun. My comp has been out one more month then me, he is from São Paulo. i live with an American also from Michigan. The church is two stories and is a ward like ours at home. Our church meeting was great and i understood just about everything. i love that i can understand. i have been really blessed to have the ability to progress with the language and understanding!   My house is two streets from Paraguay.  It is so cool.  I am living what is called a house but more liker an apartment. the houses we live in are small but we are moving soon because there is mold growing on the walls and that is not good for me.
We hopped right into work here and did a good job. It is a little tough right now adapting but all will be well.
so to go to paraguay you just cross the street and you are there. all they have is a sign that says paraguay. its like crossing over to another state in the US.
A few other highlights......
-Across the street from our house is a whore house. Safe right?
-We have 5 baptisms marked for the next 3 weeks
-I am finally in a ward
-We live across the street from a fair grounds and have not slept in 2 nights becasue it is Concert week
- the weather here is amazing, 80s during the day and 60s during the night. I can't complain.

so that is about it here in me new area. I am tired, excited and ready to get some work done. thank you for all the love, support and prayers. Remember that God is good!
